Sema going great. Tons of interesting "stuff". Cameron Steele, Kyle Leduc signing autographs. Herbst TT on display in the BFG booth. Bilstien has the avalanche with no body on it running the new blackhawks. Toyo has a new BMW powered class 1 car on display with a built in lightbar in the visor. More updates later.

To add...
Fabtech has put forth a MAJOR effort at SEMA this year. The Ford corporate booth has the new 05' Super Duty on display - complete with a new Fabtech kit equipped with their new 4.0 Dirtlogic coilovers. Lots of new Fabtech shocks to be seen.
How about a set of "Jewel" wheels for your Rolls? Price tag = $250,000.00

Brian Jeffrey has been running the prototype version of those Bilsteins all year. All aluminum bodys and a 7 "click" very responsive bypass adjuster seem to be the difference.

the best part of Sema was making freinds with the hoochies pumping beer in the mopar booth so I didnt have to wait in line for the free beer(not really free since I tipped) and then still getting beer when the kegs went dry!
2nd best part was listening to Hulk Hogan try to talk about cars in the BFG booth...
"so how many quarts of oil does this thing take?"
and talking with his son and his son talking smack about his dads muscle cars since he rolls a twin turbo 900hp supra...
3rd best
When my buddy asked Hulk for a picture, he replied "not right now brother" in the one of a kind hulk hogan voice...

We will be running the new bilstein shocks for the next race. We are told that they will run 100 degrees cooler, and do it with only 50psi. of nitrogen......never more than 60psi.
We shall see.....let you know after testing.

Actually, those Fabtech Dirt Logic coilovers are made by Sway-A-Way. And I know of another very reputable shop working something similar, but should be even better. http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Fabtech is building shocks in-house now. They took everyone by surprise with that kit. 4.0 piggyback coilovers, 2.25" airbumps, radius arms that use mono-balls. It's gnarly and will sell for around $6700 from what I was told there. They have raised the bar in superduty suspension systems. Lets see how everyone else follows ......

Damn, Im not really a big fan of Fabtech but that new Superduty kit looks bitchen and definately looks like it would hold up to some actual offroading. $6700 is alot of cash for a Fabtech system but not really when you got a big 4" coilover on there. Definately have to agree with you that there will probably be some copycats.

SEMA is awesome and I am still here till Friday. Met some really good people, more bling that you know what to do with, models galore, some badass drift racing, this show keeps getting better and better. I will have all my images up when Im back home.

No one snapped a picture of the "Ultimate Chase Truck"
That was my favorite. It was a purple and yellow H2 with about 12 TV's, nitrous and diamond plate galore.

Here's some jobber pricing for the new 2005 Fabtech 6-8" kit for the 4wd Super Duty. The pricing below is for the radius arm version...
FTS22026 - Radius Arm Box Kit = $1166.00
FTS22052 - Component Box Coilover Conversion = $799.00
FTS83500/FTS83501 - Dirt Logic 4.0 w/Resi = $1944.00 (pair)
FTS92001 - Front Hydraulic Bump Stop Kit = $TBA
That's the front parts only and it totals out for less than $4000.00 - add in some rear Deavers and some rear shocks and you've got what appears to be a pretty bitchin setup.

This was my first time down for SEMA and I was blown away to say the least. I had been to Vegas before, but the last time was for the Nevada 2000, then it was probably 96 before then. I flew down with my boss on Monday and my better half flew down Thursday, then we both flew back last night. She had never been to vegas before.
Monday: Not too much going on..flew in and had bussiness dinner with one of the manufactures.
Tuesday: Met Ivan Stewart in the Magnaflow booth. Super nice guy. We chatted about racing up here for a long time. Went out to the BFG deal out at the race track on Tuesday evening with Al from 4WD, a Canadian magazine that I advertise in and write for on occasion. We headed to the off road section first because it was the farthest away and would work our way back. The race truck section was backed up so I hopped into a Frontier to drive around the small track to pass some time. My passenger was no other than trophy truck driver Dan Smith. After that, Al and I hopped in with Scott Steinberger in his blue prerunner. That thing handles awesome!!! Thanks again Scott! To finish up the off road section, I hopped in a Suzuki and got a ride over the rock pile. It was not much, but it would be fun for somebody that had never done rockcrawling before. We headed over to the stock car track and rode in an ASA car. Since we watched them before we got in, we knew that they were coming within a foot or so of the wall, but it seemed only inches in the car! We then hopped over to the autocross area where I drove a couple of Nissan 350z's and a pair of WRX's on the wet course. Back to the main area to drive a Skip Barber open wheel race car around the road course. Overall, we had a blast. BFG did a good job overall..I can only imagine how much it cost! Everyone was very friendly, from the BFG personel, drivers and other guests. It seemed that we were the only Canadians there as everyone was asking us about motorsports up here.
Wed: We hit the off road section hard between our meetings and seminars. I talked with Walker and Evan Evans and Robby Gordon for a while. The race trucks all over the whole show were incredible. While imeeting these guys and seeing the trucks may not seem like much to you, it is a big deal to this Canadian boy. I have only seen them in magazines and on the internet. Wednesday night we went out on the town...I rode the NY NY roller coaster, which was the first time I had ever been on a roller coaster.
Thursday: More mingling, meetings and seminars. Susy came down and all of us went out. We went up the Eifel Tower, which was neat to see at night. The Belagio water show was kewl to see from up there.
Friday: I cleaned up the last minute details while everyone headed back home and Susy went shopping. We went to see the Fremont street light show. It was not built when I was there in 96...definatly awesome!
Sat/Sun: Gambling, checking out the strip and sleeping! Not to mention seeing the Zoomanity...awesome show!
The show was definatly an eye opener for me. I want to thank everyone that I dd meet for the hospitality. We do not have any shows close to this up here..no off road expos, no performance industry shows. Our race trucks are pretty good up here, but nothing compared to the trucks I saw down there. Sorry to be so long winded, but, damn, I enjoyed myself!
