tore the bottom eye off one of the 2.0 fox shocks on my buggy this weekend. They are the old style steel ends. Is it better to upgrade them to the newer aluminum pieces? at $20 a pop it's no big deal, but I'd like to keep this to a minimum. Also, is it something I can do at home, or something that kartek should be doing?

On a side note, it broke on the weld point, which leads me to just plain age, since they are at the least 2-3 years old.

The alum. eyelets are a better part .Your better off having kartek do it ,but if you have the access to a press and can make some half moon clamps to keep from hurting the shaft you can do it yourself.Just heat up the old eyelet and back off the nut then remove the old eyelet.Get rid of the washer and big nut (dont need it ) let the shaft cool apply red loctite to threads and tighten.
