Hello all,
Anyone have a 2005/2005 Yamaha Raptor? Been reading around about the 2001/02 Raptors and there are numerous problems with those. Just wanted to see what people experiencing these days with the later models...

yamaha fixed the transmissions which was the major problem.

The one defect in design I was most concerned about was the starter (1-way) now that it seems the transmissions are solid. LA designs has a unit so I'm wondering if the OEM unit is still failing after some time.

My clutch starter assembly thingy went out on mine, There should be a recall on those things

I have an 03 raptor and have had only one problem. But it had to do with yamaha being to stupid to put a fuel filter on their bike. Sand cloged the main jet. :( Fixed that and have never had any problems. :)

I have an '03 Raptor, and the one way bearing for the starter just started going out, but other than that, it's a great bike.
