The other day on thumpertalk.com i posted a thread "Race Mods for XR650R in Baja" something like that and after all the reply's two guy's posted that honda will debut the CRF600X in The 2006 Baja 1000 and the XR line-up will be no more...And that Honda will race the CRF450X in the 2005 Baja 1000 instead of racing the XR650R..

Will the XR died and the CRF be the new boss in Off-Road racing...
True or Fiction?????

I think everyone is in agreement regarding the newer CRF's durability issues. I own an XR400 and don't feel like i ever really want to get rid of it even if i go for a bigger/faster MX or desert bike. It seems to me like this is the general opinion of most XR owners, although it probably won't hold anyone back from buying the latest/greatest.

With KTM coming up, it would be a gamble to run a brand new bike in Baja unless Johnny/Steve felt really comfortable putting it through its paces. Their amazing record was built on a bulletproof bike, and hopefully that is what honda will give us as the "new XR".

well, I guess you cant fit a 700 on it, They are probably going for a lightweight bike...

I love the internet!!! Before it took magazines soooooo long to get all the "inside information" out to the masses.

I have a friend of a brother that saw a guy riding the "CRF600X" out at a secret desert testing site last week in the rain.....and the bike stayed dry. Must have some sort of new technology on it.

How long 'til that qoute finds it's way to TT or the net in general!!!!

Ride on.....braaaaaaaaaaap
