Where is the thermostat on my 1990 Nissan 2.4L? Everyone says its cast into the intake manifold, but i cant find any seems that would seperate to let me install it. Ive looked it over for hours now and can find nothing. So any help would greatly be appreciated.

i've never worked on a nissan, but on any other vehicle i've ever changed one on, it's where one of the radiator hoses goes into the engine. usually it's the upper hose inlet that unbolts and, presto, there's your thermostat. hope that helps. please don't sue me if nissan does it another way, however...... ;)

thanks for the replys guys, but i went ahead and took it to a shop. when they called me back just a few minutes ago they said the thermostat was OK. thats good, but the block was empty and the oil pan was full of antifreeze. so i guess im on to bigger and better problems. haha.
