When CART took away the turbochargers, it just killed it for me. I was there for the last turbocharged Long Beach Grand Prix and it was amazing.

Cart still runs 2.65 Liter turbocharged V-8's. They are a spec Cosworth engine that is badged by Ford. They will probably remain turbocharged for a long time to come since the owners of Champ Car are the same guys that now own Cosworth. I think you are thinking about the IRL who run naturally aspirated V-8s.

No, I'm not thinking about IRL. I'm thinking about CART. I remember the last time I went to a CART race the announcer was saying that it was the last race ever with turbo and then shut off his mic so we could hear them go by for a lap. Reading up around the web right now it seems like they extended the date by which they could keep them. There is definate news that the CEO wanted to take them away, however, I believe they are still around. Meh, who cares, lots of drivers are leaving, the series died for me. It used to be more exciting.
