Took the prerunner to the strip and suprisingly passed tech after waiting for about 6 hours. Man, California Dragway needs to step up the organization and workforce. Took way too long, everyone was complaining, mass confusion, etc. But it was fun!

First run: Revved to 3,000, dropped clutch (cuz I can't slip it, it smokes), MASSIVE wheel hop, peddled it, going good till I had to hit 3rd, of course I was so nervous I missed 3rd. 18.08 seconds, WOOHOOO!!!!. Basically screwed up every part of the run, including the R/T (went on green because I couldn't see the lights).

Second run: Revved to 2,000, dropped clutch, slight wheel hop but I peddled it anyway and surprisingly got a slower 60ft (WTF), much better R/T, hit 3rd just fine and nailed the top end. 17.93 seconds, OH YEAH, TAKE THAT JETTAS!

Of course I raced a 12 second v8 muscle car, and then a 10 second 400hp turbocharged civic. So yeah, I lost, to much much faster cars. That wasn't my goal, my goal was just to see how fast my truck is and actually do a real drag race. I had a blast. My buddy ran a 14.4 in his 5.0 Mustang with new slicks and suspension. Not bad for his first run with new stuff.

My biggest complaint about my runs were the lack of traction. My 33" all-terrains were just not hooking up, I could probably have shaved .3 seconds off if I could have bolted on a set of drag radials and nailed the launch.

For anyone who cares- ~3,000LB truck, 150hp 3.0L V6, moderate intake and exhaust mods, maybe 160hp, 33x10.50 BFG All-Terrains, 4.56 gears, R150F 5-speed.
