A silver car won, then two blue and white cars second and third.

I never really followed Formula 1 but whenever I heard anything about a race on Speed Channel Schumacher was cleaning up every race. Seeing results this year on that link he is not doing well at all? What happened?

The GP of Monoco is by far one of the most exciting tracks to watch Formula 1.

I was watching their qualifying runs late into the night saturday, So late that I missed the start of the race.

In response to Schumacher bein slow, the new Ferrari/Bridgestone combo just isn't up to par with the other car/tire combos at the moment. Only 3 teams (and only 1 legitimate team, Ferrari) run Bridgestones and everyone else runs Michelins. This used to work in favor of Ferrari in that they got all the attention from Bridgestone and got a tire which suited them perfectly. However with the new tire rules, 1 set of tires per race, Michelin seems to have the supperior tire. A large reason for this is since everyone else is running Michelins, Michelin gets a lot more testing miles on their tires in the same amount of time. When developing a tire to last an entire race for the first time this extra testing is huge.

Currently the Bridgestones still seem to be having issues in qualifiying and the early part of the race. However as seen at Imola when Schumacher darted up to a podium finish going 2 seconds faster a lap than everyone else on the track in the closing laps, the Bridgestones seem to come alive towards the end of the race.

I dont know how familiar you are with Formula 1 John, but the way the series is formated, the slowest driver in the fastest car will always beat the fastest driver in the slowest car. Right now the Ferrari is slow, and thus Schumacher is kinda screwed eventhough no one would argue about him being the fastest driver in F1 right now, maybe ever...
