Hey I setup a new one just a few days ago and I did it accourding to the manual witch told me to do it directly to the battery. Mine is working just fine.

maybe you need a noise filter in the power wire???

Is it possibly spark plug wires. Try using suppression wires. Could be why you are getting the sound when the truck is running and no sound when the truck is off. IF not I am sure some one here willll have the right answer. If you got it from PCI they are always good about helping out.

it seems that all the problems are revolving around the intercom. If I unplug the audio output.... it works fine..... and I have to leave the ground on the intercom disconnected or you can't get anything out of it. I'd like to try a noise filter on the audio output. its a mono jack.... do they make a noise filter for a mono jack?
i'd call PCI for help.... but they have to be down there already.

havent hooked up a pci intercom in a few months but i do remember you had to leave the ground or power disconnected if you were using with a radio or it would get static, Kartek sell pci products call them and tell them you bought it there, im sure baja mike int eh truck department knows whats up...

power wire only on the intercom, do not hook up the ground when using it with the radio

ok.... I started the truck up and turned the radio on and you can hear the noise in the headsets..... then, with the engine still running, I disconnected the alt. wires (except the main power feed), and the noise is gone from the headsets..... so that leads me to believe the alt is bad.... right?

isn't the antenna ground where it mounts to the truck?
