I am looking for a manufacturer or supplier that makes a sturdy (off-road abuse proof) fire extinguisher mount that clamps to a roll bar or frame tubing while still wloowing quick release.

There is a lot fo stuff on the web for the pavement racers but none apeal to me as being too sturdy.

If you have a URL, please send it.

Thanks ahead of time.

Check out www.litegrip.com. I saw an exhibit at SEMA last year. Seemed like decent quality, but I haven't used any of their products.

We don't sell this brand yet, but saw it at PRI last year and it's pretty impressive.

You may consider an on board system, they'll but the fire out while your getting out of the car.

Thanks guys.

The safecraft billet mount will likely have to do with some extra fabrication. I really wanted something like that in a bar mount.

I have an on-board system. Just want a better mount for the 2.5lb bottle I have as well.

Not sure if any of these would be any sturdier than the SafeCraft:

I think you'd need to figure out a way to support the bottom of the bottle, but Sparco has a billet mount for 1.5 inch tubing:

Similar option (1.5 and 1.75 tubing mounts) from another company:

They definately used a lot of aluminum in this one:

A billet piece that wraps around bottle w/ a quick release side you could mount to cage:

Non roll cage ideers:

How about making a breakaway mount for your roll cage, like they use on some fire trucks? Kind of a cupholder for a fire extinguisher:
http://www.allhandsfire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=FHU-EXT-H&Category_Code=extaccessories&Product_Count=1

Have you thought about floor mounting it? Any room next to the drivers door w/ the cage? Couple ideas here: http://www.tradetutor.com/raceprep/

Pre-made bracket mounts fire extinguisher on front of seat sliders for ford and dodge trucks: http://www.bkauto.com/misc/index.php

I think this is what you're looking for:

I know these are one of the "quickest" one's to get from a roll mount....... but how about the cost ?? Beacham does not sell these to just anyone without someone with a special need if I am correct??(Made for your situation). or your prepped at at his shop. try to buy one....

They were about $35-$40 the last time I checked. When they had them at the Expo, they had a bunch for sale and I assumed they were a "production" item (and got the same indication when I called the shop several times since then). I asked the boyz at the McKenzie's trailer about them at one of the last races and they indicated they had them in stock on the store.

Of course I guess that could've all changed..........
