I just got a new 05 Tacoma 4x4 and can't leave it stock (duh).
I did a little research and from what I've found the only suspension upgrades available are King, sway-away, and DR coil-overs. Oh, and the upper control arm from TC.
I'm ready to install a long travel kit as soon as it's available. Anyone know when that will be? It would be nice if it was available at the Expo in OCT.
Fiberglass? f/r
Long travel front?
Deavers for the rear?
light bar bumper?
Walker bead locks?

With fall coming, new parts are on their way. Lots of people preparing for SEMA and other shows. Tis the season so to speak.
Glass - I haven't seen any yet...probably come out the same time as TC's Long Travel Kit
Long Travel - TC says it will come in the fall.
Deavers - Call Deaver
Lightbar - KC has a lightbar that uses existing holes and such...$375. I say fab one.
Walker - You can order them now to any backspacing...If you plan on buying the TC kit you should ask TC about the wheels. I guess you will have to use the 17"ers...15" wheels probably won't fit because of the rotors/brakes/and such.
Sounds like fun...congrats on the new ride.

Deaver does have a new leaf spring pack available for the 2005's, their part # is J-66. I've had many customers install them and were very happy with the ride. Sway-Away has had available their 2.0" bolt-in coilovers for a while now and we also have our Camburg/Sway-Away 2.5" coilovers available. An upper arm is in the works for us as well as a complete long-travel kit, with more to come. The truck is still very new, keep your eyes open for a lot of new products.

If I bought the 2.5 coilovers now, would I need to replace them when I buy the longtravel kit? I'm planning on using a coilover and bypass on each wheel, If the option is available.
Thanks!

The hot setup is to go with donahoes in the front with a camburg upper control arm extra 1 inch of flex, deaver 9 leaf in the rear if you plan on carrying a load, or the 7 if not, billstein 5100 series shock to allow you to use the added travel of the deavers.
I rock crawl inconjunction with running around baja and O' wells and am happy with the setup as well as lots of bike hauling

Won't know for sure until we fully develop our long-travel kit for the 2005's.

Does anyone know when SAW will be back in production? I understand they are in the process of moving to a new facility and their products are on backorder.

I do know that a fellow friend and racer is doing their phone system and they are moving up north to the San Jose area. So that is true.
