so this is sweet we finally have a westcoast track that corr races at in san diego. now i'm wondering who else(organizations) are going to use this track, or will corr use it more than once a year? and does anybody know if there are going to be any more westcoast corr tracks in the future?

This has been covered before....the venue in SD no longer exists. This was a temporary deal, it's already been dismantled and houses will replace it. Baldwin said at the last drivers meeting that he was sure they could make a permanent facility nearby....we will have to wait and see.

Are you sure its gone? The last I heard was that they were going to be able to keep it until the Spring and were going to have one more race out here before tearing it down.

even then it sucks that its not permanent. thats it i'm moving to wisconsin, crandon here i come. to many damn greedy people in california they won't let us have 10 acres to have a track that they wanna cram 500 house in there.

they started tearing down the bleachers and stuff for the actuall track layout it might still be here and they will make a permanent facility just south of otay ranch and CORR will also build another track near L.A. 2 weekends will be ran in Chula Vista and 2 weekends in L.A.

how many vorra short track races are there? is vorra the only organization that uses the sacramento track?

VORRA has 5 shortcourse races per year.
End of April, End of May, and 3 from middle of Sept to end of October. If the interest was high enough, the organization has always stated they would run more. The track is about 1.7 miles of natural terrain and portions have been in service for over 20 years. Last summer the track was reconfigured and widened to about 60' in most places to hopefully allow CORR to be able to run there. We usually have 8 class 7's every race and IMO is the best class for both racing and viewing. Prairie City is a state park so the track is available 5 days a week for only $4.00 day per vehicle. Our next two events are 10/16 and 10/30...Curt

Lets see...with the going rate of lots around 100K per lot...500 lots equals $50,000,000

Yeah a track can really compete against that!

Dont forget...those greedy people you talked about are the same people that built the track originally.

I bet those lots are going for more then $100,000 to the builders and does anybody know how many acres that community is going to be.

Oh Im sure its a lot more then 100K...I'm just using 100K cause thats what we are getting for our lots in AZ. Cali is alot higher then that.

No class for prolite style trucks because none have ever come up. If more than 3 trucks showed up I'm sure they would create a class for them otherwise they would run with either sportsman or class 1 (most likely)
Whatever the case I am sure Rich would work to accomodate more racers but the time issue comes into play with added classes. Just how many classes can you run on a short course in one day?

The Baldwin's already said there will be multiple races here next year like other people posted. So there isn't anything to worry about even if its not at the same exact location as it was. Most likely they will improve everything about the events for next year (not that it needs much improving).

We just sold to DR Horton lots for 90 K in Oro Valley in Tucson...and 60k per lot to Toll Bros in West Phx. Like any where else in the US it just depends on the location.

Jim Baldwin himself said there would be 2 different venues with possibly 2 races at each. One in S.D. the other in L.A. He said this during the CORR race on sunday.

from what he said at the drivers meeting on sunday the 2nd. the track we used just a few weeks ago is going to be replaced by houses. but they have a 5 year permit for another track that will begin being built shortly that is further into the hills there. they are hoping to hold the first races there this spring and bring corr back to LA as well. thats what was said at the drivers meeting
