There is a taco stand across from Hotel San Tomos that is awesome.

With out a doubt Carbone's, inexpensive just a little bit out of the way!
Runner up, the last place you can eat heading out of town(heading north) don't remember the name but it's right next to the vegetable stand, best place for Adobada(sp.?).

If you hit the border and realize you can't wait until Ensenada, you should stop at:

(1) Yacci's in Rosarito
(2) Taco Surf south of Rosarito
(3) El Patio in Puerto Nuervo

Not ENS but the tacos in Tecate (the city), the ones two blocks from the border. Almost worth the drive from ENS to Tecate just for them.

We always hit that place on the way in.

As far as resturants go, it's hard to beat El Charro.

Hey Kevin, good to hear from you. I haven't been there for a couple of years but there used to be a plywood shack in the park in Ojos Negros that made the best Tortas I've ever had.

my fav in ensenda si the one on the corner right next to the posada el rey sol. dont remebr the name but could find it anytime i needed it. also the one that the taxi driver took us too at like 3 or 4 am at the 04 500 a few block past the wash onthe main street on the right. the only one i think i have not felt bueno after is the one heading out of town onthe right past the hotel california (sorry frank) that one or maybe it was the excessive drinking at paris made for a misserable night few few months back. cassamars (sp?) is the only real resturant i have ever eaten at and it was tasty i f i remember correctly

When all of you are getting or leaving the baseball stadium on 9th street (finish line) or just going thru while pre running, try the tacos across the street from NAPA auto parts, really good stuff, believe, im a local that knows tacos!!:D

Agreed! Just down from the Bahia on the beach side of the main street (hwy 1). Also after turning right off the 1 going to Estero, a place on the right side with blue trim.

Okay Travis... I thought I was the only one that knew about "Tacos El Yacci" in Rosarito!! BY FAR THE BEST TACOS IN BAJA! Problem is how do you find the place? Ask any local resident in Rosarito where they eat tacos, then you will get directed to Tacos El Yacci.

I completly forgot about Super Burro just outside of Estero beach--The people who run it are always happy to see you and they have all the right stuff to put in your tacos-
Great fish tacos as well.
