You guys need to look up the other thread where Travis rolled the rally car like a million times then asks his navigator if he's alive...doesn't look like they're looking forward to a very good year. Personally I don't think Travis has any reason to be leading a rally team after looking at that clip.

Why don't you look at his results before you spew off non-sense like that. Every major WRC driver has crashed at some point in their careers. Its racing and it happens. Happens in off-road too. Bottom line, he and Ken had great year's for a couple of rookies.

There are alot of off road racers that crash more then him. Plus they dont finish as many races as him. Rally racing is a crash waiting to happen. He went off Pikes Peak last year but had the balls to go back this year and race it again. And finished on the potiom. He is way more cooler to hang out with then most of the want to be racers. I say best of luck to him.

From what I saw on the video, the navigators at fault. ;)

The navigator reads a script(course notes), so if he is on Q, it cannot be his fault.

Possibly the ditch is not mentioned in the script considering that it was deemed un safe and then filled it in before that stage contiued

The navigator should of reminded travis of his breaking spot if he was going in to hot, this did not happen. Its one thing to get all the speed you can, but this increases the check up point!;)

I don't know about nonsense, it's just a personal opinion that he shouldn't be leading rally teams, you're entitled to your own opinion and if you think his stats say he should lead a team that's fine. More power to you and Pastrana, I'll stick to my opinion for now.

Bajafox- what is your deal man... Are you a little jealous...? If you knew him and if you have seen him drive before then you would know for a FACT that he is the right guy to lead the Subaru Team! Stop being so negative and talking crap! Remember what your mommy taught you...? "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." Haha!

Where's all the hostility coming from for one simple opinion? I'm not the only person that thinks this as I said in my first comment. I never stated I don't like the guy, all I said was in my PERSONAL OPINION I don't THINK he should be LEADING a rally team. I can see where you guys think I'm jealous...I would love to pull of a double back flip some day too.

Andy, honestly I saw you as a bigger person than to be bringing somebody's "mommy" into a thread. You started by saying "Are you a little jealous...Stop being so negative and talking crap!" and end by saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all" I'm confused now, so only you can say things that aren't nice, but I can't?

I guess in order to end this great conversation I'll just agree with all of you guys and say that Pastrana is the BEST CHOICE EVER! GO TRAVIS! But then again it just reminds me of the Vessels thread where someobdy said if everybody agreed with everybody, this would be a pretty boring place.

Good point Gunn, but "if he is on Q" like I previously stated he should have been compensating for speed in his conversing the notes. I am not saying that he was or was not on Q. But from what I have read on Travis/Suburas rally effort here in the US, the co-dawg from the accident is a seasoned rally professional

Baja619, You are correct. But we are talking about Co-Driving/Navigating with Travis Pastrana! this would mean he might need to babysit him a little:rolleyes:

Come on guys..........the members that I see bickering on here are the ones that traditionally have each other's backs. It's the off-season and tempers are as short as the activity. It's been a long year and everyone's tired. No one is wrong on this thread, it's just different people thinking outside the box. Look at Andy going with Robby next year, what an incredible experience that is going to be for him and yet there are some that are going to look at it a little different due to his age and inexperience.

Travis will make some mistakes, sure, it's a given, as will Andy, but neither one of them ever got to be the men we respect by standing there afraid to roll a few times.

(what IS offensive is going from thread to thread looking for posts to be offended by  )

HEY

Listen to the seasoned co-driver. He gives the Q twice and the second time the voice is different.

Just stating the facts. From a Navigators point of view, Travis needed some better support beside him (or besides himself, either way you want to look at it) . The navigator did sound as if he started to panic and the only time Travis had to slow down was before the turn. This is when the meat in the seat should of had Travis check up!

One other thing, did anyone notice Travis's arm floating outside the window. Those G's pull your arms away from your body. He had the strength to pull them in or his left arm might not be there:eek: .

The "experienced" navigator did not get excited.. he is experienced.. why raise his voice the second time... he just made what he just said sound MORE important the second time.

I can't believe no arm restraints... that is not very smart.
