led lights

i need new Turn Signal, i have clear conners and need an amber bulb. i found a place to get an led conversions kit ... and would like to know if any one has done this be for, i've seen people use them as break lights and amber lights on buggys but never on a DD. how well do led last off road and will cops be able to tell they arnt stock and give me fix it ticx for them?

the led's will not be affected by off road use. one trick with "swapping" them in on turn signal circuits is that they don't draw enough amperage to trip the turn signal relay. the easy fix for this is to put a standard buld in the circuit just to trip the relay. keep in mind this bulb will fail much faster than the LED's and then yout blinkers won't work again.
