""""THE CULT: San Diego Show Announced - Jan. 17, 2006

Another date has been announced for THE CULT's upcoming U.S. tour. The group's schedule is now shaping up as follows:

Mar. 04 - San Diego, CA @ House of Blues
Mar. 05 - Cabazon, California @ Key Club (at Morongo)

Tickets for the San Diego show are priced $38.00-$43.00 and go on sale January 27. More dates are expected to be announced soon.

As previously reported, THE CULT principals Billy Duffy (guitar) and Ian Astbury (vocals) recently inked a management deal with Tom Vitorino, who also represents RIDERS ON THE STORM (formerly THE DOORS 21ST CENTURY), the band featuring Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of THE DOORS with Astbury as Jim Morrison.

THE CULT are planning special product reissues and some limited gigs in 2006. However, a full-blown reunion appears to be unlikely at this point. More information will be made available soon.

Duffy recently signed on to play a villain in the new movie "Sin Jin-Smyth". The 44-year-old British-born musician will play a rogue government agent who specializes in interrogation and torture, according to web site Moviehole.net. Duffy will be joined by Roddy Piper, a former pro wrestler with the World Wrestling Federation and World Wrestling Entertainment Group.

Duffy will race in the Cabo 500 event on April 29, 2006. Duffy will be racing with the Black Ghost Racing Team, in the Number 8, Trophy Truck.

The race, a Mexican National offroad racing championship race, will run from the state capital of La Paz, Mexico to the mega-resort capital of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California South, Mexico.

THE CULT went "on hiatus" following a split with Lava/Atlantic Records, who released the band's acclaimed 2001 CD, "Beyond Good & Evil".""""
