It was announced in La Paz this week that the Official opening of full-speed pre-running of the Dos Mares CABO 500 course begins February 10.
The Annual race, beloved by the offroad racing fans of Southern Baja, has not only opened the race course months early for pre-running every year, but graciously offer desert racers "open ranches" for racers and travellers. The Official opening of the course for pre-running is early this year because of the race being held several weeks earlier than years past.
The first group caravan from San Diego to La Paz is on April 17, 2006. Contingency April 28. The race is April 29, 2006.
