It sure seemed to me that the 1st race of the year was a lot more exciting than the 2nd one. As desert racers we rarely run in packs for long periods but then again racing against the terrain brings an excitement that might rival being in a pack at Talladega. I'll never know but for watching enjoyment I think I'd choose the plate race.
I'm sure there are many points of view out there.

Some "cookie cutter" tracks can turn into a snooze fest.

Not an xpert here.on plate versus non plate..all the intricacies, but damb today's race was boring?!!!
(Went to Fontana 2 yrs ago and watched on the tube last year...the guys wure were behaving today?)

For Sure, I was there and it was kinda lack luster. Biffle dominated, no wrecks, no flat tires, everyone behaving themselves, Stewart finished last, Kennseth won. Was this Nascar?
