The DN Buzz---
Pro-2 Leader from the start / Jerry Whelchel suffered two broken shocks that slowed his pace after leading and charging big in the first 8 laps. Bummer for Whelchel who stole the show in his Monster Energy # 41 for most of the race. Word is that he broke the rears...a combo of Russ W. and Scott Taylor built shocks---
Pro-2 Todd LeDuc charged hard and let it all out in his run for second place points trying to chase down Carl Renezeder.
Pro-2 Travis Coyne---Got caught up in the first three turns of melee and was in the middle of the pack and never got a break to charge the leaders.
Pro-2 Josh Baldwin---Broken left hub...Wheel/Tire flew across the track bouncing 20 feet in the air...lucky it didn't take out any media geeks or track workers...scary stuff.
Pro-4 Scott Douglas Pounded on the rear end of Rick Huseman...coming out of turn 3 and Huseman could run from him after that...
Pro-4 Josh Baldwin----left front end spindle maybe...looked ugly will get back to you later tonight on this one.
Pro-Lite Kyle Leduc---power steering blown in the last 2 laps after leading all race long
Pro-Lite John Marking----looped it in turn three two different times losing one overall position from 4th to 5th
Pro-Lite Robert Naughton---frustrated at conditions, NERFED Marking Big smashing in the rear tube and FUEL SAFE tank...Marking Laughed it off as having fun. Naughton nervous.
Pro-Lite Winner - Jeff Kincaid was slow at start and suffered when the field punted him hard...the field being the #4 Viejas Casino truck...LOL flashbacks of 2005...The start was EPIC as all the Pro-Lites jammed into the first turn and it was a MELEE...
Pro-Lites Casey Currie, Javier Sacio, Rodrigo Ampudia, Josh Hintz, Joel Tarquin, Matt Barney----Adjusting to CORR short course racing in the mudfest.
Biggest Carnage of the day----Carl Renezeder Pro-4 / Entire rear end broke off and slid about 12 inches to the passenger side...he limped it in for two laps to finish. That is the just fixed truck that he rolled 'ENDO-STYLE" in Crandon a couple weeks ago..those boys got a whole lot of work tonight.
The DN Buzz will fill in the holes later as we make our way through the pits in search of broken stuff.

Also heard on Desert Newz that it was announced by Corr that there will be 6 west coast and only 2 midwest races next year. Didnt hear where the west coast races will be, but they said Crandon on Labor day weekend and Bark River 3 weeks later in the midwest.

Indeed, Jim Baldwin announced that the 2007 will feature 6 West Coast Races and 2 MidWest Races...
Prognostication would tend to lead one to believe that one race would be in Crandon (likely Labor Day Weekend) and the other at Bark River.
Rumored locations were San Diego, Pomona and Veggggggggaaaaaaaasssssssssss

you sound like you're having too much on the live commentary Tim, its just making me more sad that i didn't get to go to either race back there . how's the media deal over there? restricted like it was here?
Also congrats to the West Coast boys for solid performances!

Yep Bryan---It's a new deal with the media! Issued ID from CORR to approved media outlets only. Not too many media on the track besides JNL, ORC/DirtSports, DN and the Speed TV guys...
Rain in the Pro-Lite race made conditions as you'd expect...too much fun.
