i heard there will be 5 DA trucks someday. i mean 5 new ones. Todd Gatrell was rebuilding his. Herder will have a Jimco 1 car w/ a TT body for next season i thought. i know of 1 other TT that will debut next BITD season, but not supposed to say the name just yet. there are 3 trucks like his racing now, just a small hint.

Two brand new trucks from Mexico: Ernesto Cervantes and Martin Avendano. Debut is planned for next year. Avendano probably will miss this baja 1k because he is spending time and money to finish the new truck

In the end they did use Chucks rear end housing on BJ's but that was all. Jez, it's Sunday afternoon haven't you guy's got anything better to do???LOL

Why is Herder building a new TTor is it his new Jimco 1 car and then later their going to put a TT body on it? I saw his new 1 car the other day and man that thing is awesome he's running his old paint job again with the AZ flag on it he had a BITD number on it when i saw it the other day so i'm guessing he will be running V2R.

Nothing top secret, I was refering to Matt Towery's new class 8, (who has posted a few pictures here). And ME ! I sold my old class 8 to Jamie Galles last January, and I have been feverishly working (at night) on building a new Chevy. I hope to be done by first of next year.

To answer your question I think everyone who has bought the HMS Avenger has seen how great of a car it is, how well it works and how competitive it can and will be. Therefore they are seeing/projecting how much better the HMS Hybrid TT will in fact be... Just my 2 cents

No, it's not Danny Porter or Billy Gasper. While I'm sure they will be a part of the team in a technical knowledge sort of way as their free time (does that exist?) allows, neither one is signed on as a driver. If they offered that would be great, but I think they have plenty of other stuff to keep them busy.

Thanks for the offer. I'm sure we'll get many offers (who wouldn't jump at the chance to drive a TT?) First we have to finish the truck, which is well on its way, then we'll build the team. And it DOES take a TEAM, as all of you already know. We're just excited at the thought of jumping in the mix with the big boys. Hell, I would love to sign myself up as one of the drivers, but I know there are so many more experienced drivers that I should stick to pit duty until I get a lot more seat time in actual races.

then add $100 - $150k for the rest of the goodies... Don't think it's too far fetched for someone to spend upwards of $500k for a truck. In any case, TT's are well out of my price range.

The Demore truck is not being built by Geiser's, it is being built by Albert McMullen of MCM Motorsports. It will be more of a mid-engine truck. A lot of the parts that were designed by Albert are being built and supplied by Danny Fodrill (hubs, arms, spindles ect). Lot of new "trick" stuff. Truck should be done by end of October/first of November.

Friday practice session the truck ran great. Then we went out Friday night in our heat race and after half a lap the tranny started going. Motor was running great but we could not put the power to the wheels. Took it out Saturday in practice to make sure that it was the tranny and it was, it blew up. Our great crew guys worked all day in the blazing heat and got it replaced with our backup. We went to the heat race Saturday night and were running in 2nd for about 3-4 laps, then the motor started to go, got passed by Alan P and limped it in for a respectable 3rd with a blown motor. The motor was an old Walker Evans one that was built as a back-up for the Baja 2K. We think it just sat around to long. It is a great motor with all the trick stuff, mostly NASCAR hard to get parts. It is currently being re-built and should come back with more HP. We were real pleased that the truck ran with the best of em (while it was 100%) and can't wait to get the motor back.
