Congrats to ALL!

I want to thank and acknowledge the folks that put on the CODE race this past weekend. I think the SCORE folks could learn a lesson or two from these folks, starting at registration. I entered at close to 11:30 p.m. I preran the course the next morning at 6:30 a.m. All in all, it was a lot of fun and the people were very accomodating.

We took the Flatwheel guys down who set up in-car in Perry McNeil's 7 Open, and young Erik Christiansen (18) raced for the first time, with Sr. McNeil.... The Flatwheel guys are very talented, and we look forward to their productions. Here's link to their posted Video (http://www.fw-productions.com/movies/jacumehi.wmv). Thanks to Perry for putting Erik in the Truck, and congratulations on a great race.

Congrats Rich for your experiences down there at the race.

And TNXs for the link to the video and also for the slide show of Jacumé. It´s always glad to see the ladies at CODE´s registration booth working and doing their best. Kudos to them.

I'm guessing class 18 is the equivalent to 1400 and 1450 here in the states?

yep, in CODE the 18 class it for sportman trucks from classes 8,7,7s or open trucks, but almost all of the entries are very similar to 1400 or the 1450.

Overall it was a fantastic race sort of like a mini baja 500. had a great time! I did however see some accidents that were caused most likely by lots of dust and some one's right foot overpowering their brain! it happens but by the grace of god nobody was seriously hurt, just some egos!!! If you have never raced in Mexico before and have though about doing it you should give this one some thought. Had a great time, the car I was in finished in 11th in class(out of 20 I think), and the other cars in our group finished sixth and 11th(I think out of 14) not bad when you consider that they both broke in either the first or the second heat. BTW does any body have pics of 553,558, or 1516? Anything would be great! Thanks!!

thanks for putting the my picture up and my comments about the CODE organization. I will definately race this course again. Thanks again to Ramsey and his crew for hosting me. I came to the race with nothing but the truck on the trailer. Which explains why I wearing one of Ramsey's helmet. If you own one of these, you can get much better airlflow than what comes stock. One of these days I should do a clinic on how to modify your helmet to fit and flow.
