Hello,
I am in the beginning stages of building a 516 SCORE legal car and was wondering in dick brakes are now allowed. The score rulebook says “any type and manufacturer brake may be used” but I have seen a couple of post in other forums of people saying only drum brakes. I also was wondering if it is legal to change the whole pedal assembly or if you are forced to run the stock one, I know there is a rule about moving it but I am not sure if you are allowed to run an aftermarket one.

Disc brakes have been allowed in 5/1600 for some time along with micro stubs and most recently power steering. You must run a stock pedal assembly but are allowed to add a roller pedal. Check the 5/1600 website www.bajacoalition.net for the most recent 5/1600 news, Art Sevedra has been known to hang there and he is the tech expert on 5/1600s.
