After I moved I have limited space, tools, and time to perform an engine overhaul on a DD (91 Bronco 351w, SD, e4od). The truck/project has been put to the side with an engine that needs to be rebuilt. I’ve done my research and know what I want (heads, intake, cam, etc. around 300hp), but I need a reliable engine builder to build it and install it (I’ve researched this topic but find that most mechanics listed on RDC are for race type applications, not for DD). I’m looking for a mechanic from Huntington to San Clemente area that’s been around for a long time, has great customer service, reliable, and can guarantee his work.

I would not limit yourself. Try talking to Greg at Total Performance in Santee 619-562-9894. Whether you race or not, you need someone that knows their stuff. He is a really down to earth nice, professional, and cool guy. He knows the small block Ford better than anyone I know. He builds McMillins small block Fords for their prerunners and my race motors.
