I have a 1994 ford bronco with a 9 inch cone rear end. 44 spline axels, 456 gears, i was wondering what the length of the driveshaft should be? and if anyone now who makes good aftermarker driveshafts.

I assume you still have the stock BW 1356 t-case? If so, the stock rear driveshaft won't fit? Is it too long?

A driveshaft is an expensive part to build off a recommendation from someone that's never seen the truck. If you're going to have custom shaft made you need to ask your driveline shop what measurements they want and go from there.
Personally, I would measure then go to a wrecking yard and see if one off an older 9" equiped Bronco would fit. If you find that it'll work you could buy a couple and have a spare.

When I put a currie 9in on my Bronco after I bent the stock 8.8 jumping dunes at Glamis, I did not have to change the drive shaft. My Bronco is a 1986 but it sould be the same. Is a 94 that different?

The transmissions are probably different lengths.

The yoke sticks out about 1.5" farther on an 8.8 than on the 9". You can stretch some of the DS's out to connect but you won't have enough spline in the slip yoke. Time to get out the tape measure.

That may be but the u joint on an 9in and a 8.8 are not that different to call for a new drive shaft length. It should be the same?
And the Drive shaft on mine did not have any problem in the last 5 years since I got mine. The splines on an 86 DS are more than long enough but that is a stock 1986 drive shaft so maybe 94 is different I don't know. Even Currie said I did not have to change the DS.

Since you are in the general Sacramento vicinity I recommend calling River City Differential. 916-852-7109 They will know who is closest to you that does good work.
They know what it takes rock crawling and racing to survive so they will give you the best advice.

Too short? Hmm. What about a DS from an 80-86 Bronco? The C6 and AOD (which were on 80-86 Broncos) are both shorter than the E4OD, so that would require a longer rear DS.

hey vince, compress the suspension all way and measure it at at the shortest, then jack up the truck and let the rearend hang and measure it at the longest, add a 1/2 inch to the length and make the short dimention a 1/2 less and give them to the drive shaft shop with the exact dimentions of the u-joints (exact of the width and cup sizes) do it right the first time and you will never have any trouble
