engine choice

lets start out that money and reliability is a fairly big deal when it coomes to purchasing or at least thinking about an engine.

what would be the best bang for the buck engine combo. carb'd, TBI or astock fuel injection system from a late model truck.

something like a 350, 383, dunno much about TBI engines, or an LS1, 5.3L vortec, 6.0L vortec,

what do you think?

Is this on an S10? What year? Trucks! is a stupid show now, but they did put a crate 350 under the s10's stock TBI and it seemed to work well.

yeah i saw that. looked interesting. not going to be smog legal and IF i do it it will just be a desert toy
