Looking for a tranny cooler for a mainly street truck, I do use it for towing, and I'm going to mount it in front of the condenser on my Chevy. Anybody know who I can order one from in the Inland Empire? I'd like a full install kit, but if they only sell the cooler, I'll settle for that. Thanks ahead for the info.

Chevy sells a full kit for Suburban's and Pick-ups. Its complete and easy to install. It comes with brackets to mount the cooler insead on the nylon strips going through your condensor. I'm sure it's more expensive, but may be worth it.

JC-
To my knowledge, there is absolutely no problem with any Fluidyne product.
I was just pointing out to those that might not know, Parker Pumper offers a variety of other quality manufacturers, that may be comparable to Fluidyne, not only in quality, but may offer a better price as well.
What coolers do you run JC?
All the best!

I run Fluidyne. That is why I asked, I was thinking you might have heard something that I might want to keep an eye out for. So far no problems with mine.

Yes! They also have Coolers without the fan. But save up and just get the good one! SETRAB makes a Fan Pack 920, this is the cooler I am installing on my f-150 for towing. They run around $325. Dual fans and all.

Jerry-
Great info on the coolers! Thanks!
What will you be towing that merits the addition of this cooler?
And, about your F-150. Is this the same 4.6 V&, 4WD you've always had?
Thanks in advance.

NO, It is a 1998 black 4x4 F-150 with a 5.4L.
I am going to "TRY" to tow a new Santek 24' V-Trailer. But it is complete with 105gal water and 75 gal gas. It will fit our new race truck inside.

I was looking up specs, and the cooler is 5" deep. Where do you have 5" to spare? I bare have 2" between the grille and the condenser. Also, is your f-150 stock? I'm interested to know how it will tow about 8k pounds.

I am mounting the cooler under the truck.
As far as can it tow 8000 lbs.. we will see the book says 7800 is the Capacity.
The Truck I had was a 4x4 with a 4.6l and it had no problem with 6500 lbs. The new Ford motors do a great job.

Gears and a heavy foot usually take care of the job.

Kris-
I beg to differ with your heavy right foot. It usually leads to overheating a tranny, and a motor. Towing over 6500 lbs with a 1/2 ton truck is a feat in itself.
Jerry-
I'm totally down with the idea of mounting the cooler under the truck, closer to the tranny, shorter lines, and no worries about space. Now you got me thinking! =) Thanks for the info!

cool thanks Jerry. Would there be any reason you couldn't use either one of those coolers as a radiator?
