I was out side my dad machine shop the other day and found a old axle but i cant id it. I think it is out of a chevy but that is about all i know, if you need more pics let me know.:confused:

Also it was a spring under with a low pinion

It looks like the eaton 10 bolt in my dads chevy but they only made those as a full floater. Not to sure, post up on www.pirate4x4.com they are very good with axle tech and ID.

Is the differential offset but the pinion is centered in the axel. if so it's gonna be the eaton rear end. They're strong but you can't get parts for them so they are really undesireable.

This axle is a 55-62.5 chevy truck drop out. It came with 4.10 and 3.90 gears. There is a aftermartket ratio that is a 3.38 for cruisers who don't have an overdrive.
