Yeah, figure at least 12 tires with wheels for the 1000 for a class 1. 1 wheel and tire is right around $1000.00 bucks....This means your looking at 12 grand just in tires and wheels to run and test for the 1000 alone.

If your just wanting to look cool and have the $2500.00 for tires than look through the tire adds in Dirt Sports Magazine. A few of the adds list the tires for 475.00 to 550.00 depending on size. The reason I know is because I wanted to make my truck look really cool. I decided to settle for a little less cool and save some money, but being really cool is priceless, so go for it!

I have seen used Goodyear Wrangler tires at www.govliquidators.com they are used tires off of the military hummers. I think they were 37's and would make good testing and prerunning tires. I don't remember the wheel size.

I already have probably 20- 37" tires for my other hummers, they work great rock crawling, planned on using those for pre-running.

Cool is priceless, but I heard these tires really stand up to the desert. I'm going to be racing stock-Full against the other Hummers. starting in March I hope

Time for Sponsorship!!

Be sure when YOu contact BFG that you are actualy going to use them on a race/chase vehicle. They are pretty strict on this rule and do check the races.

IF you can get on BFG the KR's are considerably cheaper than whats been posted. It may help to get a referral from someone already on BFG.

Mil 12 & 8 stud HMMV rims are 16.5"s
Pretty useless IMHO unless you have HMMV rims.

Thanks
Will do, I know a few racers who are sponsored.

military rims for hmmwvs are 16.5, but civilian hummer rims are availible in the 17" variety

Now onto custom springs--no one has any good off the shelf suspension for hummers
Been talking to Hyper Co and Renton
