It seems lately more of the new class one cars are using the Albins transaxle. Without getting into a flame war, is there a strength advantage to the Albins or is it simply a matter of price?

The Albins trans that people are using is bigger, heavier and stronger than the typical Fortin box. I'm not sure how much stronger Fortin's "wide" 4spd is compared to the Hewland DB/ DG based units that they have sold for years, but it sounds like a marked improvement.
