I'm planning on putting a V8 in my tacoma in a couple months, so I need some help on figuring out what to get. I like the setup that is in CEO's red ranger, thats a ford 302 with gt40 heads and some other stuff, I think he spend like 5K on that but anyway what are some other options that will fit in a tacoma? Its a 1998 if that makes a difference. Thanks guys.

Shouldnt have an issue. Tacoma frames are wider then rangers. 302 is an decent fit in a ranger, minus a few little clearances. have to relocate the oil filter and make sure the oil pan agrees with your cross member location.

there are different oil pans depending on year and aplication of motor, so if you are having problems you may want to try another style of oil pan, your biggest problem will problably be your exhaust and finding headers that don't run into anything, there are some long tube and short tube headers for ranger swaps they may work for you as well.

if that helps any
