Anyone racing in Class 7 upgrade their torque converter? If so, how much RPM? I'm running a 3.8L Ford V6 in a C6 tranny. I was thinking of getting a 2300. When i asked the "expert" at Jegs, he couldn't even tell me if this would be a good set up. They only delt with V8s. Can someone provide some input here please?

Call Culhane or MOGI, they'll answer your questions & know their ****.

Culhane is in Lake Elsinore & MOGI is in Riverside. Have answered my questions and very straight forward guys.

Do you guys have these contact numbers for Culhane or MOGI? I have the number for Hughes from Jegs, but they're not open yet.

Just to give you something to go on. Darren York's 7s was running 4200 stall with a 3.0 4 cyl. (tall deck 2.3). Not sure what you would need with a 3.8 but I am sure Cullhane will know. This is one area I think most racers over look.

That's a pretty high stall. I'll call Culhane. Thanks for the feedback.

Quote: "I was thinking of getting a 2300."

Does this mean 2300 rpm or 2300cc engine?

My guess would be that a 3200-3500 rpm stall converter may put you close to where you want to be with the 3.8.
