We have a 351M with a hydraulic cam (Lunati).
It has crane 1.73 roller rockers and flat tappet lifters.
Does someone with alot of Ford experience have any ideas?
Would the 1.73's change it from the stock settings?

Stock is 1.73 same as the 351c and 429/460

They are hydraulic so they run no lash.

Check the cam card, or download the cam card from lunati.Sick rick is right hyd. cams have no lash. But im sure there is spec. on tighting the rocker down. A chiltons manual, would be a good place to start. On my chevy motors if I remebered correctly we just tighted the rocker down till hit the push rod(with the valve closed-one by one according to the firing order)

It hydraulic so zero lash + 1/4 turn in will do it. Valves closed of course, and cam in correct position.

Thank you all,
I received a pm showing:
.030 to .035 pre-load. Sounds like the same as 1/4 turn preload. We'll check it out.

R450, There isn't any cam card, the motor/truck has been parked for some time.
So, after a valve job we should fire it up next week.

keep the greasy side down...

Is the conversion adjustable or do you still have to shim the blocks?

Adjustable Crane 1.73's. No shims...
They are crane "gold" with a roller shaft per rocker with a roller tip.
Hope the .030 preload is the trick.
