Tranny whine

I have a manual tacoma, 1st-3rd the tranny whines, also in nuetral with the clutch out. At first, i thought it was the throw out bearing, but now that i think about it, im thinking it might be in the input bearing. My truck only has 73k miles and i have that 100k warranty, if its the input that should cover it.

All you tranny experts chime in.

Also 1st gear is the loudest and becomes quiter with every gear.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Unless you put huge tires on it. If so some sealerships might give you a hard time.

no its pretty much stock with SAW's and upgraded floor mats
