RG and Michael Andretti together tomorrow on AZ TV show

Just heard a radio promo for a Morning TV show in AZ, here is the jist of it........ "Tomorrow, on Good Morning Arizona, we will have IRL team owner/driver Michael Andretti with Nascar team owner/driver Robby Gordon . That was pretty much it, along with a couple of non-sports guests as well. Why in the hell would Michael and Robby be in a promo together on a TV show............One could think that it has to do with some kind of Jim Beam promo, since they both carry Jim Beam as primary sponsors. One could also think that the promo would be Robby driving a Jim Beam sponsored Dallara Honda for Andretti Green Racing in the Indy 500:eek: :eek: :D :D :D :D . I will tivo it and let you all know what it was about in the a.m.

AH, I had a feeling, we can dream though, right?. Robby's last effort was actually with the RGM Meijer/Coca Cola entry in 2004. Some would argue that his last competetive venture to Indy was with Andretti Green Motorsports in 2003 substituting for Ashley Judds husband "whats his name" (Dario Franchiti):D

Well, it was just them announcing the Jim Beam Fan Double package for Indy/Charlotte. Michael is going to do the Indy and Robby will do the 600 at Charlotte. Same as last year, a fan will attend the 500, get on a RGM or AGR Jet and fly to Charlotte.

I f'd up. I tivo'd channel 3 and my wife was watching channel 10, it was on channel 10 and I happened to catch it when it was on. I went to erase the show and realized it was channel 3 that I recorded. Arizona Morning, Good Morning Arizona, they all just blend together..;...Sorry, you did not miss much.

Yeah, that sucked. But DG is really a rook when you think about it. I would have to agree with you, the CC and spotter need to pipe up and hold their driver in situations like that. Did you see RG whip it right back around, that was sweet!

You know, I was noticing today that the major sponsors on the Andretti Green Racing Jim Beam car are Jim Beam obviously and.....Motorola;) This year, The Jim Beam Ford Fusion has Jim Beam and Motorola as a associate, as well as being a primary on the Busch Car. It may be nothing and I have no insider info. But little oddities and coincidences like this are usually how rumors that end up being true start for RG/RGM. If Rg is going to do the Indy 500, I sure hope he would say something now so I can make reservations for Indianapolis. If he is going to race the Indy 500, I would think that he would do it with another team. After burying the hatchet, he and MA seemed to get along very well for the 2003 effort. Even Mario has had some very nice things to say about RG in recent years.....on the record anyways. This is just opinion, but I think that RGM East and West are much to busy with full time teams to do a legit effort in Indy. I do not think he would jeoporadize either operations for a solid Indy effort. But, I have been wrong before. here is to hoping that we see RG in an AGR Dallara Honda on Memorial Day weekend

Stewart saw RG coming and tried to beat him out and stalled it. RG didn't know Stewart was stalled so he slowed to let him out and Gilligan nailed him. Good thing is he caught him square in the tire and did minimal body damage. I blame Gilligan's spotter (who wouldn't talk to RG's spotter).
