Does anyone know if the Simpson camlock belts are SCCA legal? I seem to remember some were that SCORE wouldnt let you use them? If so has anyone used them? +'s or-'s about them? thanks, MW

Cam belts are legal in Rally, not legal in Dez because of the wild conditions. I would suggest Sparco over all other cam belts though. Look at rally and tell me how many time syou see simpson cam lock belts on there...I am not saying they are better, but I am jsut saying to buy them.

They are not prohibited by the SCCA as they are by SCORE.
Marshall, if you don't have a rule book, you can download it from my website...
Here's the Link. Just right click and select "Save Target As" You'll then have the whole book on your harddrive. It's just under 1 Meg. Shouldn't take that long, even on a dial up.
Happy motoring, Tim

Thanks Tim but I do have a rule book. It just says you need to have a all metal buckle so I figured it was ok but wanted to be sure. I think you dont see many simpson camlock is because they're a US company and most Rally is euro based or euro inspired. Whats the advantage if any to this style?

The sparco cam belts are really nice. I know Jason LaFortune runs them in his toyota and I bought a set for my bronco. They are well built and easy to use.
