I don't know how many Toyota fans there are here (not just talking Cup, but overall) but I know I am one of them. My favorite Cup driver is Jimmy Johnson, but being a fan of Toyota, who do you think is the best to pull for? We all know NOT Waltrip.... What about DJ? Montoya? Who else?

If DJ weren't driving an MWR car, maybe, but I just can't do it... I like Vickers in the Red Bull, even though I am still in the Monster camp now with RG making the switch.

Blaney (#22 CAT) is a good horse, top 35 in points, a great driver and BDR has the best relationship with Toy in Cup.

Montoya is in a Dodge, just FYI;) . I do think that Toyota/Red Bull are wondering why they did not go with Rg after all......... I say Dave Blaney......Good Guy, Good driver, never had top notch equipment. He was with RCR like RG was during there mid pack equipment slump.

I will tell you guys who not to root for.....Jeremy "Cry baby" Mayfield. He and his wife need to shut up, suck it up and move on. He is such a biotch. He for the past two days has been crying to anyone that would listen that the Points situation is unfair, and that the rookies should not be able to race and that only full time teams should get to race and that only experienced racers should get to. He should have kept his mouth shut and not pissed off the boss (Ray Evernham) in the first place, he would have more then likely had the points necessary to race tomorrow. To bad he is a team mate of Dave Blaney. He needs to be racing with POS. They can both blame every one else for their issues and cry each other to sleep.

Yeah I think BDR made an odd choice with Mayfield his career may have already peaked.

RG had alot of success with him as a crew chief in 2003. Nothing against Erwin, but I wonder why he did not make a go at Hamlin for his crew chief.

Dave Blaney hands down! I wonder how team Red Bull will go through this season, not a good start. I am a BV fan. I felt that MW treated him like crap last year during their show. In fact I stopped watching it because of that reason!

Vickers has got some skills....hopefully his team can come through for him at some non-plate tracks. Hopefully he'll be locked in by the next go-round at a plate track.

Blaney it is. I for some reason thought Montoya was Toyota, woops... I have always been a fan of Hendrick and the last couple of seasons Vickers couldn't do anything with them, he just seemed to me like a waste in the Hendrick stable, he couldn't cut it and he is not there anymore. So I just don't know if I could be a Toyota/Vickers fan just yet. I think I'll go with Blaney for now.

Blaney pulled the jackass move of the day flying down pit road at 150 and re-entering the track with a flat tire and ruining Schrader's day. That easily could have been RG that he wrecked because he came off pit road like a wild man and Schrader was just driving by. Schrader is a good guy and he'll be fighting to stay in the top 35 and blaney just made things a lot harder for him.

I understand your frustration, but reports say he was unaware he had a flat right front, with all of the excitement right that second, I find that believable. It sucks for Schrader. My understanding though is that he is doing a partial schedule this year, sharing the ride with Jon Wood. Blaney is usually one of the more stand up guys in the garage.

Blaney is a good guy and I am wanting him to do well, but coming back on the track at 150mph( if Nascar was correct) was not all that great of a move for him or the other 42 men on the track.
I would think the pit lane is long enough to slow down more than only 30 or 40 mph. But I am not in the drivers seat so its easy for me to sit back and second guess him.
I just felt bad for both him and KS.

So..what happened to Blaney? #22-Dave Blaney and the team ran into misfortune on lap 185 of the 200-lap Daytona 500, as Blaney drive down pit road to avoid an accident on the frontstretch. With a flat right-front tire, he was unable to avoid making contact with several cars as he exited pit road. After making a lap around the track, he headed back to pit road for four fresh tires and to give the Caterpillar team the opportunity to review any damage the contact may have made. Unfortunately, NASCAR officials were none too pleased with the speed the Caterpillar Toyota reached on pit lane while trying to avoid the accident, and after first assessing the team a five lap penalty, they then decided to send the #22 to the garage for the remainder of the race. Blaney was credited with a 34th-place finish.
Nascar officials aren't the only one's who were not pleased! I think the guy is OK too, but that was just a dumb dumb move he made while trying to save himself 2 positions.

Blaney ain't gonna have a very good day, but Vickers sure is having a nice run. I think the run I am most impressed by/pleased with is that of the 55 though...

Yep. I agree. If the 55 could just finish out the year the same way he is running today, I would be very pleased. :D

A few more weeks like this where he just stays deep in the negative points, and his year will be over sooner rather than later...
