WHy is it that when RG accidentally(actually accidental once) gets into Biffle at Loudon and Biffle bumps the wall,(because of POS) the entire media comes out against RG. But when Biffle blatantly spins Reutimann, who is 2 laps down at the time and almost kills him in the process, not a word is said. WHen you get the wind knocked out of you, you panick and move around trying to breath. He had a brief loss of consciousness. I do not doubt he had the wind knocked out of him, but he was not completely alert. Nascar is saying that it was one of the hardest hits EVER recorded.

IMO- I think it comes down to the fact that RG always drives hard and it doesn't always make for the best marketability for Na$car. Biffle doesn't have to drive as hard as often and isn't in the middle back of the pack as often where he can be blamed for whatever...

You also gotta understand that Biffle has the potential to be a serious contender (I'm surprised he didn't make Chase last year) and DR is just a rookie. I would like to see Reutimann come up and make a name for himself, but that's just me. And yeah, RG does seem to make waves pretty consistently, and media loves to jump on it.

Does anyone think Fox tv needs to re-think when they should be turning on those in-car camera's? Fox knows what there doing, I think they should look at the camera shot and if everything looks fine then put it on tv. Can you amagine what his family was thinking as they saw that footage. I was at the track and we also had a tv going in our camp and I could not believe they were showing that shot. I was not sure if he was alive when his head was on the wheel. My first thought was turn off the camera. That reminded me alot of when Dale Sr, passed. That is probably the exact way Ken Shrader found Sr. I hope NASCAR talks with these networks because if something like that happends and these networks show this it will forever hurt NASCAR and that is not the last image I need to see of one of these racers or any racer.

I thought that same thing. God forbid, what if that ended up being another Dale Senior Scenario. They should really be doing the race on some kind of delay. I was not impressed with them showing that at all. I guarantee you if we are talking about this, they more then likely hit on it in their post production meeting. That was a great big oops!!! Thank goodness he was ok. As far as RG being the media goat, he has been their goat for the past 7 years or so. Let it go already. It is funny, most of the TV personalities really like RG. I emphasize most, as there are exceptions to every rule. But the writers just flame him, especially that Bob Margolis ditz on Yahoo . He must not give writers the time of day or something. There is one writer, I forget his name who usually stands up for him, but he is the minority.

The deal with RG spinning Biffle out had a bunch of factors.
1. It was the first year for the Chase.
2. RG said he was going to take him out first.
3. Mayfield got toasted in the process.
4. RG was in Poland testing for VW after it happened and didn't issue a statement so it spun out of control.
5. RG makes for a good villan.
All this is going to change this year. RG has decided switching to Vinilla flavor this year and is only working on top 20 finishes. He will be top 15 this year in points at the end.
Then he is going to Win Dakar.

Robby and PT were the rage in the CART Days. THey were the rock stars of CART. I remember most of their press being great. RG was touted as the next American to jump the pond and race F1. He was not the bad guy he seems to be now with the press. WHen he went to Nascar with Sabco in 97, he was young, cocky and rubbed a few of the old guys the wrong way. Unfortunately, alot of those old guys were the ones doing TV during the day. That was IMO when things changed for RG. GUys like Dale Sr and Benny Parsons sure enjoyed him though. Jack Roush said it perfectly the other day in an article. I will not quote it, I do not remember it word for word, but here is how it went. Robby Gordon is one of the best drivers there is period. He is fiery, aggressive and never quits. His car handling skills are second to nobody. WHile I do not agree with how Robby has gone about racing from a business standpoint, with owning his own team and the people he has put around himself, you have to respect a guy who wants to be his own boss and actually does something about it. Robby Gordon could have raced for someone else and been a top contender, he has it all, but that is just not Robby's way. I will try to find the article

Wow! Didn't you suger coat Jacks words... LOL
Jack, basically said RG is a great driver, he is just hard headed and surrounded himself with the wrong people duing his carrer.
Jack spent 3 years developing RG on the pavement... Jack lost him. He's still sore...
