Anybody going? I'll be working Pit/Fire again this year, probably with Newman-Haas Racing. It is definitely not as "big" an event as it once was, but hey, springtime at the beach with race cars, celebrities, great food, cold beers and lots of eye candy; all just a short drive home sure beats races like July in Henderson or anytime in Lucerne.

Hey Tom, I handled the Medical Dispatch for them this last week here in Vegas. Obvioulsy a new course that the drivers liked. Was worse than a Laughlin race on the cars though. Only 8 of 17 entries finished.
They seem to be having a lot of problems with the new fuel flappers and several had to make numerous stops to get a drop in there. All new cars.
Have a great time down there.

Not a fan of cart...at all. I dont think people are going to see cart racing, they are going for the atmosphere and venue and what not. I seriously dont know how anyone can watch cart.
I was going to go to watch the ALMS race but sitting in one spot dosent sound like fun at all. Going to Laguna Seca to watch ALMS spoiled me. Its so nice to be able to see 80% of the track from any given spot....expecially when your with porsche hospitality up on the hill LOL.

I am going this year and have gone the last few years.
I have seen Ryan Arciero race in the celebrity race, anyone know if he is racing again?

(Friday) nice weather, some great racing out there. The celebrity race will have Kelly Hu, (the hottie who costarred with The Rock in Scorpion King). The two-seat Minardi F-1 cars are there, they just look unreal in person. Food is overpriced, but that's no surprise. Donahoe's FJ race truck is there, along with a PROTruck, the Del Taco class 1 car and a couple other things from our world. Should be a great weekend.

My guy (Sebastian Bordais) qualified first, lead all day, at one point had a 20+ second lead, and won the ChampCar race. The ALMS cars and teams are truly bada$$. Very sophisticated, very professional, and put on a great race. They had prototype cars and production-body cars too.
