Got the belt situation somewhat sorted out by going back to the old clutch which actuall works better shift wise then the new. New clutch ate one belt instead of a belt a lap like tuesday on the other car so we went back to old clutches on both...

Was a fun day

this is for kritter hey did you ever have a problem with the belts braking? and if so did you find a way to prevent the belts from braking?

yes we had a major problem on tuesday testing and thats why we had to go back friday to do testing and bring the original clutches. The belts would complelty grenade after a lap or so with the black clutches and we gave up after 4 belts. We came back friday with the stock clutches and ran one car with a stock clutch and orignal spacer that was on the car and it performed better. We ran the other car with the black clutch and the spacer that was used with the silver clutch and tore up one belt after an acceptable amount of time but the silver clutch still better.

The front and rear pulleys need to be direct in line. The pulleys also cant have any wobble or play. To accomplish this you might need to machine your own spacer since the ones we have are still off and if the pulley/clutch assembly is damage you will need to trade it in for one that doesnt wobble.
