I might just have to drive down from the snowy mountains of Colorado to witness the So. Cal drivers handle the snow in the high desert, both on and off the track -- always entertaining, though dangerous! GO RG !!!! GO RJ!!!! GO Josh B!!!!

Lancaster is only @ 2346 ft elevation... this large part of this storm system is supposed to pass tonight, and it will be partly cloudy Sat. Sunday is another story, with a 30% chance of showers. It will definitely be wet out on the course, though.

That will make for some good racing!

I used to live in the antelope valley. And my shop is in lancaster. The weather report is always wrong, so don't trust it. Usually 30% chance of rain means it won't rain. If they say there is no chance of snow, it will snow. Wind is always possible. Just bring plenty of warm clothes and something waterproof and enjoy the racing.

heard from some people that were on their way up that it had indeed snowed and that practice was up in the air for today?... of course this was before noon... havent been able to get ahold of anyone for confirmation...

... definitely gonna be an interesting twist... especially for the UTV's... hard to grip the track when its so wet and muddy...

... cant wait, counting down the minutes til we head up there...

I live about 10 mi from the track and a little higher elevation, it's cold today and drizzling but I doubt it will snow.;)

It snows in Lancaster but never really sticks. In 1984 it snowed about 18" but since then no more than about 2-4". These showers should really help with the dust... The ground out there is so dry now the water is just getting sucked up in no time.

Bring three things... A Parka, A windbreaker, a t-shirt.

Probably form the local L.A. TV networks. There all a bunch of buffoons. The only Weather Person that was any good was Dr. George Fishbeck on KABC. He answered a question from one of the news anchors about where he got his local weather information with “ before my broadcast I go to my office and look out the window”. He blew the two dorks away with that. LOL The look on there faces were priceless. By the way it is mostly sunny right now. I just looked out my window!

I was born there in 1970 and lived there till 2002. It rained really hard here all morning I would expect a lot of rain there.
