Nobody enjoys the excitement of wheel to wheel racing more then me, throw in some dirt, off camber jumps and a land rush start and you have some of the most exciting racing avaliable, like CORR. I just don't like the demolition derby mentality of running over your fellow competitors that I see on the shortcourse racing. IMO if they don't clean it up it will never draw a large commercial audience.

Well I grew up watching the Mickey Thompson races and the crowd LOVES seeing the banging and the wrecks. If they raced 100% clean with no bumping the crowd would be half as big.

The casual and less educated fans love carnage, its actually key to a large audience.

the gentleman is correct. It takes more talent to out brake a guy on corner entry, pull up next to him and pull a slide job on exit, and come out right in front of him nose to tail. Or at least if you can't stay off of him, run him clean door to door and try him again next corner! Yea, thats right the throttle is hinged. It is way more exciting to watch good clean door to door racing. It takes no talent to fly off into a turn thinking maybe I'll make it, crashing in to the side of a guy and making the pass! All that takes is MONEY......Hmmm.

One thing is for sure, posting in this thread will not get CORR to change the rules. If enough racers and fans complain, then maybe the rules would change, but I honestly don't see that happening.

They already give out black flags for rough driving and avoidable contacted. I was at the corr race today just got back and if they would have raced today and not had contacted with any of each other I would have wanted my money back at the end of the day. The crowd would make the most noise when the trucks are banging doors not when they are nose to tail. In any racing most of the fans are there for the big one its the same reason they build booby traps in mexico.

I dont know who you are talking about running over someone. Todays racing was clean as could be. No one pushed anyone out of the way for position. Pro2 and Prolite race came down to the wire for the win. Both classes raced eachother clean. Rubbin on each other is part of short course. In the Mickey thompson stadium race's, those guys would beat the hell out of each other for a win.
