There were 3 sourapas I think.

I think there were 55 karts total for all 3 divisions.

All three boys made the main event and I'm not even sure where they all finished but they all had a great time. Their crew chief Tyler Hall had his hands full keeping all the karts running well but for his first event he learned alot. The only major screw up was the spec gas situation which caused big problems on Saturday but the right decision was made quickly for Sunday. I still think having the dad's on the radio's is a bad thing because it may be causing some of the rough driving that I don't think would happen if the kids were left alone. I know the safety issue but I think we are way passed that.

lil' tucka driving the SMD kart was on a mission, and not one of the older boys had anything for him on sunday. good job buddy.

we ended up 4th on sunday and dnf both moto's on saturday due to the fuel situation.

I'm still looking for someone to answer the phone. RPS built me a great safe truck but it didn't get finished til Thursday night so we had no practice time at all so to get a 7th and a 9th out of the weekend wasn't bad. I'm sure we will get some TV time on NBC with that rookie mistake.

Trophy karts were a blast to watch, and even more entertaining was watching the kids come back to the pits and to see how young some were.
Congrats to Blake on on some great driving!

i think i had more fun in the middle of the track watching them then they did. all the smiles the kids have just makes it a great event for these guys. these kids are going fast when there old enough to drive a big car.

That was some good racing in the Trophy Kart division. We got our Trophy Kart early last week and Mitchell DeJong went out and kicked butt. On Saturday, he finished 3rd in the heat and 5th in the Main event and on Sunday he won both his heat and the Main Event. Not bad for only nine years old and no seat time. That sure was a lot of fun.

yeah, your not kiddin one bit.. i was contimplating going back to the box van for a little while and grabbin something to drink and eat. but everytime you ask someone, "yeah right after these guys"
