I dont have a video, but I recorded it in my mind. I was sitting in the Nissan Pull truck by the flag and saw the whole thing, left me and my co-driver stunned. :eek:

one of the brothers had a stuck throtle and was in reverse and it gassed and he went flying up the k-rail and landed on the other side of the rail on all 4 wheels

I didn't have my camera on since I wasn't expecting anything to happen. I had heard that he thought he was going to get stuck so he hit the throttle, but didn't realize the barrier was there. It did knock his perscription glasses right off his nose...

I was standing right there and i think he thought it was in gear to go forward and was going to roost the banners not realizing the wall was there and mashed the pedal (maybe it stuck, i dont know) then flew straight up in the air a-- backwards and landed on the back end and on all four wheels. By far the gnarliest thing I have seen and the most memorable of the weekend.

That was a missile launch, even from across the track behind it, to hear it and see it, was amazing.

definately one amazing stunt...we just got done interviewing him & thought he ran over the pit bike!! although troy got a little shaken up i'm glad nobody was seriously injured!!

He was driving by us after he did that stunt and a group of us gave him the thumbs up. He was laughing and shaking his head. A little embarrassed I think..

It actually looked quite similar on a smaller scale and a harder impact.

I was over by turn 2 and saw the whole thing from the backside.

For a second I thought it was some kind of bizzare half time show until I heard them calling to see if he was alright.

Bryan's picture of the divider shows just how extreme that deal was.

His truck was stood up pretty straight, and I would say it looked like at least 2-3 feet from the front end to the top of the barrier.

It all happened so fast that I could be way off....that's just what I remember in my head......which is questionable since it's been bounced off the ground a few times racing MX!!

im going to say 10 foot off the barrier, so maybe 13-14' off the ground? not quite a full truck length from the front bumper. some good hang time

Talked to my buddy who pits for them, said it was a stuck throttle, hit his face and a small cut, said it damn near knocked him out... We were watching from the stands and wondered if his helmit or gloves or some gear got caught. Pretty crazy.
