I felt bad for people in the stands without headsets on. The announcer was consistenly yelling into the mic which isnt a bad thing but I think they wanted people in LA to hear what he had to say. The music and commercials during all the long breaks were even louder...

were myself and the people that were around me the only ones deafened? I would have to say the speaker level was louder then an air chisel in a closed shop.

The announcer should be audible above the trucks but yes, my ears were shocked with each word. The commercials and music were to loud in between races,it felt like "club corr" you had to yell directly into the ear of the person you were talking too. I guess they expect everyone to go out to the pits and listen there:( .

Who announced?

I know that at Crandon at times we can't get enough volume during some races. Even up in the booth I can't hear myself talk, and to the fans it's all the same anyways. With the trucks right in front of them they don't give a darn what we say up in the booth.

Yes, it was way too loud, let the ears rest in between races and turn down the comercials.

Also please no music during the races.

It was crazy loud. It made the trucks seem quiet.

ya it was loud, some one in are section finnaly turned the speaker around so that it faced the track, and we could still hear everything just fine but it was no longer killing us all.

A few people were ready to cut the cord...

CORR I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS. Cut the volume in half.

It was perfect volume with a headset on plus you can listen to to the radio communications with the spotters/cars if you can get them to tell you the frequency .You also need a scanner .

I was in the sound booth most of the time, the NBC guys made us remove some of the monitors so it was difficult for us to hear what was going on. No one said anything until Sunday that is was so loud in the other grand stands.
