who's the owner? when will it race?

swiftracing5
May 7th, 2007, 22:32
Ya, it will be running kuhmos after the deal is sealed. The owner is Brady Helm but it is still at the Lothringer shop. Its been in the works for over a year so it was supposed to be ready for the 500 but its not looking good so were just gonna do some MDR stuff over the summer.

Ya, but were bummed because its been at this point for a while. All the stuff is ready to be put on the car but their are no tabs etc. The front a arms are off a lothringer play car so we could show it at the autism walk. The real ones are straight. It should be ready for that mdr night race. No 500 for it I guess. I have some other pics if you want me to post.

Lothringer has quite a few new cars in the works. Class 10: 2 single seaters, 2 two seaters, a 2 seat 12, a 9, 2-3 16's and a bunch of the Corr short course cars like Rick Boyers. All look to be typical Lothringer: Fast, safe, light, simple...

that's what I like about Lothringer...my uncle and his brother used to own this class 10, it was painted blue with Spider Man on it, then black with Spider Man on it...

Lothringer builds an excellent car. We just finished our new 1600 car and were very impressed.

Kent told us when we would have the car and he delivered it when he said he would. Why are you guys having a hard time getting it tabbed?

they are safe. look at our roll in lauglin. Both driver and co-rider walked away.

Almost had a lothringer class 1 on the poduim at the tt250. We were in front of pat dean but on time we were in a battle till a cv blew at mile 194.

Frank, that's too bad about the breakage. Your car has some serious history and age and it's still going super strong.

Ken'ts stuff rocks and hold it's value super well too.

I'm sorry but I don't think I can help.

We beat our car up pretty bad at the Dunebuggy.com 400 in April and had to send the car back. He had it for about two weeks to fix some flat tubes and make new belly pans. He brought the car back pretty quick. Our buddy kept joking about holding off on starting Kent's garage if he didn't bring our car. It was a big joke when Kent would call our buddy and he would say are you bringing the car up this weekend?:) Lothringer builds a bitchen car and he is an awesome guy. We are very happy with his work.

Swayaways are very nice shocks and just wait and you will see a lot more of them on top cars and trucks in the near future.. you might see them on some big name TT's soon..

why stayaway shocks I dont know of anybody winning with them, I think they will be a handycap. Unless they are free I still dont think i would put them on my car. I have run stay away stuff for over 30 years and there quality is 3rd rate compared what it used to. be and their service is even worse. You ask me why i have run their stuff so long if it is so bad?,because for the longest time sway away was the only company making torsion bars, link pins, spring plates for limited classes. I know 1 person that tried sway away shocks on his 1600 car and in the end he threw the shocks in the trash can no joke. I hope they work out for your nice car, I just have big doubt for your aplication and I dont think the suport will be there.

I am sure that Brady really values your overstated opinion, but he has had a long standing realtionship with Sway-a-way for many many years, but he just may rethink his whole shock program because of your awesome input. All of RDC is so much better with big bags of douche such as you who throw way too much opinion at every little thing on this board

I think that car used to be an old Brady Helm swayaway car. It was white and had this wierd protector shroud thing in front of the rear shocks to protect them from roost from the front tires. That car has alot of race miles on it. and still looks good

Brian Skipper will be one of the main 3 drivers for the big races, so the shocks are gonna be DIALED.

boy you are sure full of yourself arnt you facts are facts but its ok little man dont get butt hert just take a long look and go to any shop that sells them and see how fast they are recomended compared to any other shock, hhhmmmm i wonder why??? even though there prices are competitive with all the other brands and I thought that is what forum talk is all about dummy why paint a rosy picture on somthing that i dont bileave, I think they have a very nice car, and if he is related or what ever good for him Maybe things will work better for him than most! In useing SAW products for 32 years( longer than you have been alive) you tend to learn things about a company that produces parts for your race cars, and the comments from the shops that sell them. And if my experiance doesnt mean anything thats ok with me.go and be your own judge. I personally dont know Brady and I have no doubt he is a great guy I am sure he is going to have a great time driving his lothringer I just hope it doesnt turn into a hoplinger!! mellow out dude

I believe that Brady's old car went to Terrie Tavis and then to the Gerbers that race it is BITD.....

yeah Greg did my initial valving and tube turning. the truck is still far from "dialed" in my opinion but i just havnt had the time to test and tune over the past year or so. we got it "good enough" and ive been running it. greg is a great guy and i owe alot of my success to him however the shocks themselves are all racerunner. no custom made or modified parts. so basically what im saying is that all of the problems i HAVE NOT had with the shocks while racing is due to racerunner. all the guys at swayaway have my back as i do theirs.

sorry to further derail this thread but i juat wanted to make that clear.
