Here are a couple of testing pics of the first completed truck built on the Uweld Pro-lite chassis kit. I wanted to congratulate the Probst and George Schultz on an awesome build, the truck turned out great. I can't wait to see it this weekend at the First WSORR race in Owatonna. Conratulations and good luck, we'll see you down there!

looks really good. i bet you guys are pretty happy seeing it all come together.
one question, how is cooling with all the alluminum, i see a lot of short course trucks setup to where you cannot even see the radiator, I know you want to keep the mud off of it but is cooling affected at all?

Nice job how is it handling for you guys? I am currently talking with Rick on a chassis. He mentioned you guys are using a nissan motor, how is that working for you. Send me a pm I have some more questions to ask you guys. Good Luck this weekend.

I was at Probst's shop last night wiring Jon and Kevin's helmets. The Pro-Lite is a sweet looking truck. Jon was mounting the bedsides and his dad was finishing up some aluminum work. The truck looks awsome, simple and clean. Everything that they need to win is in place with the exception of seat time in this truck, but that will come soon enough. This will be a very potent combo.

Is that engine a NISMO engine or MENARDS engine? Is it the ~$13,500 package?

It's the Jeff Probst engine, which has no price. A little bit of "unobtanium". Nismo parts plus thirty years of engine building experiance. Probably one of the most underated engine builders in off road racing.IMHO

So it will probably be similar to the engines Jeff built for Chad a couple seasons ago, with a few updates? So, probably around 310-320hp. roughly...

I can appreciate that, I wish there were more people that were tight lipped!

from our testing on Sunday the temps will not be a problem. we went with a slightly larger oil cooler than what most guys use, and the radiator seems to be very efficient with the SPAL fan pulling air through it. as Chris said the motor uses some Nismo parts, but has my dad's specs throughout. big thanks to Erik and Rick at UWELD. they have been great through the build, not only with the kit, but also with some other fab items. thanks a bunch guys.

That's a little light Rob. :D The motor should be plenty competitive though.

Some new news on an old post. The Probst/UWeld pro-lite will be for sale at the conclusion of the WSORR season. Short list is as follows- Nissan power, G-Force trans, JMR housing w/Strange Ultra Case and 35 spl. axles, Fox Shox, JMR hubs f/r, Tilton/Bicknell(Outlaw) brake components, Sparco seat/wheel, plus more. For additional info and price contact me via pm. Pictures of the build and race action can be seen at www.probstmotorsports.com in the photos section. Our plan is to have the truck at the Chula race for UWeld display purposes and possible buyer delivery.

So why are you guys going to be done with the truck already?

Our plan is to build 2 new trucks side by side after the season. We needed to build one more anyway and figure that doing two at the same time won't be a killer as far as time goes.
