I bought a 2007 chevy silverado classic and I recently got a tuner and installed the performance tune a few weeks back. It shifts hard some times. and some times it seems like normal. is a firm shift bad? I know its not good but I have bee told that a firmer shift means less slipping. less slipping means less heat and wear right?

Gregg,

I have been told the same thing, that firmer shifts are better for longevity. Most programmers adjust the shift firmness.
