I have been thinking of building a single seat class 9 or 1600 car. I have built two two seat VW transaxle cars with a center set shifter. The shifter was a stock vw type setup. In a single seat with the seat center mouted how are you guys setting up the shifter and linkage. Can you show some pictures?

From the shifter I use a piece of 1 inch solid turned out to fit the male piece of the shifter with a tapped hole for a set screw. From there run back .750 tubing to a steering knuckle. After this use a heim (the sloppy fit type so the shaft can slide) to angle towards the trans. Then another steering knuckle with set screw to attach to trans. It is the basically the same as settting up the steering shaft in a two seat car. Hope this helps. sorry no pics right now.
