I was at the motocross track that is right behind it last weekend and the first, second and last turns were still in place from the last race. So Im guessing that they are going to keep those.

From a spectators point of view, I like the AV track better than Pomona, it was a bit faster and much wider, which means more places for passing, which means better racing in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing, from the stands it is much better than pomona.

Gotta give credit to the trackmakers that put Pomona together, I mean it WAS just a parking lot. But AV being a dedicated course produced more exciting racing.

Is the AV track similar to Chula Vista at all? TIghter? More technical? Less technical? Longer? I'll be racing this one, so I'm just wondering what to expect - thanks!

Hard to tell when the track only has three turns in it so far and from what bill said maybe part of one straight away.
What will you be racing?

Yeah and I agree AV is much better than Pamona for spectators view but the track design at pamona was sick!! I liked the bowl that dropped down into that hard right!!! It was fun to watch when you could find a seat!!!

from what I`ve seen so far and been told there will be No signaficant changes in the track layout. It is still early they just got the track area released from the fair yesterday.until then they have just been ripping and watering the three big turns.American Excavating and crew have been doing a great job this year on the tracks.Thank`s Teddy and Dick and crew.

the trackbuilders for both tracks are the same, American Excavating. Dick Dahn has been building tracks since the Mickey Thompson days and is an extraordinary man. If you ever get a chance to meet or sit down with him, you will be entertained for hours. He has stories for days. His nephew Robert is the owner of American. The entire family gets involved in it, Dennis Slaten is related too...

... they will also be building the texas track, im not sure about the primm track, and they run equipment for the chula vista track...
