HAs anyone ever done this? if so can you point me inthe right direction to get started on this? I know it can be done jsut not sure how or what is required to do it .

If you are talking about a chevy t-56, yep, it will work...
The 4.3 is basically a SBC, with 2 cylinders lopped off(VERY dumbed down verion)...
IIRC, just check the splines on the input shaft, and the spline on the clutch plate, match...
I had a Centerforce in my 4.3 5spd truck, and when I swapped to SBC, it the tranny, and flywheel, and everything bolted right to the engine, re-did the motor mounts, and moved on...

This is my next step in my toyota once the 700r4 goes out, a manual trans behind any v6 is almost mandatory IMO unless your v6 has a **** load of power.
